God Is Able by Priscilla Shirer | Amazon
God Is Able is written by New York Times Best-Selling author, Priscilla Shirer. Priscilla delivers another down to earth book to help readers on their journey with God. She opens the book with honest statements about how she has all the faith in the world when it comes to God working in other people's lives, but when it comes to her own life it's hard for her to see how God will do it. She shares bravely what some of us are afraid to admit out loud. Throughout the book she reminds readers that God is able to connect their current reality, no matter what it is, to God's present ability to do anything and everything. She makes the point that whether God does something or not is up to Him, but it's up to us to believe that He can.
Several biblical references are used within the book. Each chapter has a one word theme, which describes how "God Is Able." Pricisilla then uses various scriptural and personal examples that support how "God Is Able" based on the one word title for that chapter. While the book contains amazing stories about how God made a way, Priscilla reminds the reader repeatedly that just because God can doesn't mean He always will and just because God hasn't doesn't mean He won't. Though we forget these truths at times, the truths can serve as reminders that God is always in control. Readers are encouraged to not limit God to what we are asking him for and make room for God to do exceedingly abundantly more than we could ask for.As the book closes, it reminds us that at the end of the day, we are all here on this earth for Him and Him only.
